Owner and Brooklyn native, Farrah Desamour-Rochelin is no stranger to event/party planning. Desamour-Rochelin is also the creator of Pamper Me Mobile Parties, an event planning company for kids.
Pamper Me Mobile Parties, provides “exciting fun themed parties for children ages 4 to 14. [Their] parties allow parents to be creative without lifting a finger.”
Desamour-Rochelin took her experience and passion for event planning to a bigger platform by opening her first physical retail space Amour Event Venue at 9305 Church Ave. She realized the need for party and event planning, which lead her to open her children’s event planning company.
As time passed, Desamour-Rochelin looked forward to expanding her business. She has been searching for an event venue for nearly a year, however, had no luck. She then began working with Tri State Commercial and was quickly matched with the perfect retail location.
“The space needed a little bit of work, but I fell in love right away. There was already an AC/heating unit, which I really needed. I just broke one wall and built out the rest of the space. There wasn’t much work I had to do plus the landlord is amazing,” Desamour-Rochelin said. “In this business, you have to have the vision to see what potential a space has and how you can make it work.”
Desamour-Rochelin explained that her first event will be held on November 11th, but the soft opening date is set for November 23rd. She plans on frosting the storefront windows and is still waiting for some furniture to be delivered.
In the near future, Desamour-Rochelin plans on opening a kids salon/spa; where kids will be able to get their hair done and have their own spa dates with hypoallergenic facials, runway shows, and dance parties.
“I will definitely be calling Tri State Commercial for the search of my next commercial location. They made the process so quick and easy for me, it was unbelievable.”
Located on Church Ave and Linden Blvd, steps away from the B35, B8 bus service. A short walk to the Saratoga Ave 2, 3, 4, 5 train station. Surrounded by national retailers like Rite Aid, CitiBank, and Wendy’s.
