Seasoned New York restaurateur Emanuele Attala, chef-owner of Malatesta and Malaparte, has partnered with creative newbies Ettore Pardossi and Giovanni Gentile, Spaghetti Incident’s Sous Chef and General Manager, respectively.
The team concocted the idea of serving spaghetti in a to-go cone; using the inspiration from Italians who plated their street food in travel cones at festivals in the 1950s. After a tiring search and experimentation of non-spilling materials, Attala, Pardossi, and Gentile created the perfect product that would allow customers to enjoy their spaghetti on the go.
Originally named after the Guns N’ Roses 1993 album, Spaghetti Incident offers a mouth-watering menu with nine types of long pasta dishes like “fresh spaghetti or bucatini dipped in delicate yet flavorful classic sauces like carbonara, bolognese, or amatriciana, and novelty ones with unexpected ingredients like the kale pesto.”
The Italian restaurant currently has five locations and is now venturing into Bed-Stuy. The soft opening date is set for Summer 2019.
Located near the G train at Bedford-Nostrand Ave station. Surrounded by national retailers such as Citi Bank, Popeyes, and Chase Bank.
