Prosper GoWork inks a lease for a coworking office space in East New York!

The workspace provider creates a community for busy, on-the-move professionals who need a reliable and peaceful coworking space. Prosper GoWork‘s mission “is to support, inspire and elevate the success of location-independent professionals everywhere.”

Elena Drakos developed the workspace company for people who are constantly on the move and do not need a typical 9-5 office. Rather, they are in need of a drop-in location where they can get work done quickly.

Prosper GoWork opened their first location on January 2018. Drakos, who is a working professional that’s always on the road, first thought of the coworking concept when she realized the difficulty of working at home. Having worked in real estate and property management, Drakos would run into tenants with conflicting schedules that often led to them meeting on the sidewalk due to office hours restrictions.

She wanted to offer clients and other business experts an office setting without a time limitation. Prosper GoWork is open 24/7 and provides these spaces at an affordable price for working professionals. Drakos breaks it down simply, “if you purchase a cup of coffee every day for one month then that number amounts to the same cost of a membership. We also provide free coffee for everyone.”

Additionally, the company features an enterprise membership option, which is offered to exclusive clients in need of a space for their team. The membership cost includes maintenance, cleaning, and cobranding–meaning the company’s name will be displayed along with “powered by Prosper GoWork.”

With plans to open 10 other locations, Drakos would love to someday become a national coworking space provider. “We plan on playing around with pop-up offices as a means to bring brand exposure and foot traffic to sites that landlords are having a difficult time leasing,” Drakos said.

The venue sits between the Van Siclen Ave and Alabama Ave J, Z trains. Two blocks away from the B20 bus service. Neighboring tenants CitiBank, AdvantageCare Physicians, and C-Town Supermarkets.

Drakos describes her experience working with Chandler Slate, Avi Akiva, and Shlomi Bagdadi as enjoyable. She goes on to say, “They were super professional and accommodating. I loved speaking to Avi, Shlomi, and Chandler. They were so helpful. I’m actually planning to work with Chandler in the future.”
