United Talent Agency Signs Major Lease at the Empire State Building
United Talent Agency (UTA) has signed a lease for approximately 101,000 square feet at the Empire State Building, occupying the 32nd through 35th floors of the iconic Midtown Manhattan tower. The relocation, expected in summer 2027, will consolidate UTA's New York operations from three separate offices into one expanded headquarters.
The move increases the agency's New York footprint from approximately 81,000 square feet and reflects its long-term commitment to New York City's entertainment and business industries. UTA represents some of the world's most recognizable talent, including Timothée Chalamet, Bad Bunny, Guns N' Roses, Cynthia Erivo, Chris Pratt, and Harrison Ford. The agency also partners with LeBron James' Klutch Sports Group, representing some of the biggest names in professional sports. The lease was negotiated by JLL on behalf of UTA, while Empire State Realty Trust was represented by Newmark.
For New York City's commercial real estate market, the transaction highlights the continued demand for premium office space. Many companies are choosing to consolidate multiple offices into a single location that offers modern amenities, upgraded infrastructure, and a prestigious business address.
The Empire State Building has become one of Manhattan's leading examples of this trend. Following significant renovations and capital improvements, the property has attracted major tenants including LinkedIn, Workday, Kearney, Shutterstock, and now UTA. These commitments demonstrate that trophy office buildings continue to outperform much of the broader office market.
As companies continue evaluating their long-term workplace strategies, transactions like this reinforce that best-in-class buildings remain well positioned to attract major occupiers. While overall office availability in Manhattan remains above pre-pandemic levels, premium properties with strong ownership, modern amenities, and desirable locations continue to command significant leasing activity.
